Drawing on more than two decades of experience in the Silent Service, native Bartow County resident Chief Gilstrap provides a rare firsthand look at life aboard America’s nuclear-powered submarines. He will discuss the technological advancements that have shaped modern undersea warfare, the challenges of covert missions, global deployments, and the various classes of U.S. submarines currently in service.
