Event Details

Georgia Highlands College is excited to host an invitation-only, elevated campus experience for high-achieving high school seniors who have earned a 3.0 GPA or higher and may still be exploring their college options. This special event is designed to introduce students and their families to the high-quality, prestigious academic programs and enrichment opportunities available at GHC, while helping them envision how our institution can support their academic and personal goals.

• Current high school seniors
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Strong academic motivation and leadership potential

This experience will include academic program highlights, student panels featuring Honors, Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), and Student Government Association (SGA) participants, a dedicated financial aid session for parents, and the opportunity for students to participate in scholarship interviews at the conclusion of the day. Light refreshments will be provided, and students are encouraged to attend in “Sunday Dress” or dress-to-impress attire to reflect the elevated nature of the event.

A highlight of the day is a keynote address from Dr. Lawrence J. DeLucas, former NASA astronaut and Space Shuttle Columbia crew member, whose extraordinary journey in science and space exploration will inspire students to think boldly about their potential. Through student panels, academic showcases, and scholarship interviews, attendees will gain clarity, confidence, and vision for what lies ahead.
